TESTING YOUR pH

URINE AS INDICATOR

If your morning's first voiding is acid this means that the body is  excreting or trying to excrete these acids. Your body may be in a state of acidosis and it is important to raise your alkaline level.

If your morning's first voiding of urine is slightly alkaline, then that is a good sign. It means that you are doing something right and may just need to do more to boost your pH.

To check your pH.

The first morning void (needs to be at least 5 hrs of sleep prior to testing) before eating, drinking or exercising. Void your urine in a cup and dip the pH paper in the cup. Check the pH against numbers showing on the pH package. This will tell you where your pH is. If you are not getting the 5-hrs rest before testing, then automatically consider that your pH is off. You need more alkalinity (more neutralizer). At the same time do a saliva test. Just spit on your pH paper while sitting on the toilet getting first morning void. The saliva test is the emotional pH of the body, but can change the pH in the urine very quickly! That is your Physical pH reading. If you can bring up the pH you will change your state of health! Emotions can and will throw off the pH making you very sick. Seek help if you're dealing with emotional problems. The optimal urine pH should be between 6.8-7.0.

The pH value is the measurement of hydrogen ion concentration. pH litmus paper is made by coating a piece of paper with a single indicator that will give a good indication for urine and saliva. In testing body fluids, such as urine and saliva, a drop is touched to the litmus paper and the results are indicated by the color chart for its pH value. Please note that litmus paper has an error of 0.5 /-. For example, if the pH reading is 7.6 using the litmus paper, the actual pH could be anywhere from 7.1 to 8.1.
